At times, life’s shifts steal the peace we once held within. What used to bring us joy may not feel the same anymore. Perhaps the place you imagined yourself to be at this point in time is not where you are. You may see slow progress in your career, personal growth and development, finances, and family, but the truth is that you are here, and the fight is not over.
Christmas this year may not feel like it has in the past, but the one truth remains: Jesus came into the world to make all things new. Today can be a new beginning. Lay all your worries at His feet. Even if this season feels different, ask God to fill your heart with Joy, strength, and renewed purpose. God has been working behind the scenes, and soon you shall see His work manifest in your life.
There is a lot to be thankful for, yet it is easy to focus on what we don’t yet have. However you feel today, I encourage you that the fight is not over. God’s might work in your life has only begun. As the angels brought good news of Jesus’s birth to the shepherds, let us rejoice, knowing that the Savior Jesus lives in us. God’s gift to us. This Christmas, be thankful and hope for the best. The year ahead will bring many answered prayers. Stay humble and obedient to God’s word.
From my home to yours, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Your friend, Edmund Appiah.
